YOUTH EMPLOYMENT NIAGARA


Youth Employment Niagara is designed to assist individuals 16 years of age and older with a disability to find and secure competitive employment by providing:

  • Job development according to an individual’s career goals and skills, which may also include an unpaid work trial 
  • On-the-job training and ongoing support and counselling
  • Travel route and mobility training
  • We offer the following pre-employment services:
    • Work interest assessment
    • Résumé and cover letter development
    • Interview preparation
    • Job search assistance
    • Work training and assessment (if needed)

Who is eligible?

  • ODSP income support recipients
  • Applicants with a diagnosed disability

And…

  • Are able to work in Canada
  • Reside in the Niagara Region
  • Have the ability to work independently
  • Have the ability to use a transit system (training may be provided)
  • Are willing and able to prepare, accept and maintain competitive employment

This program not only instills success now, but also maintains a level of confidence for years to come.
