The Grounds Maintenance Program has maintained the grounds for a wide variety of business and industry in the Niagara Region. As well as grass cutting, our crews plant and maintain flowerbeds, trim shrubs, and perform spring and fall clean-ups. In the past several years, the program has diversified to include a contract with Regional Niagara for debris pickup at various landfill sites, and a winter program that involves cutting and selling firewood.
The Landscape Program accepts both residential and commercial contracts, which assist the program participants in learning to perform a variety of tasks as part of a crew planting trees and shrubs, fertilizing, pruning, building retaining walls, and laying interlocking walkways.
All participants in the grounds maintenance and landscape programs attend a workshop each year from the Farm Safety Association on the safe and proper use of equipment before the start of the season.
