CO-OP PLACEMENT

NTEC's co-op programs assist young people with special needs to transition out of their high school. Accredited by Niagara boards of education, the program offers students a chance to experience a variety of occupational environments so they may familiarize themselves with basic employer expectations, and make more satisfying career preparation choices. Each placement gives participants real world work experience, as well as safety training, computer instruction, and life skill coaching.

Occupational settings include:

  • Horticulture - grounds maintenance, landscaping or greenhouse
  • Food services and hospitality
  • Bill and flyer delivery
  • Waste management and recycling
  • Quota-based production and assembly
  • Custodial maintenance
